Cette lente d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration du fonctionnement des reins conduit \u00e0 diverses complications, dont l\u2019accumulation des d\u00e9chets du\u00a0<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"329\">m\u00e9tabolisme<\/span>\u00a0et de l\u2019eau, l\u2019<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"27\">an\u00e9mie<\/span>\u00a0et les troubles cardiovasculaires. L\u2019<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"1022\">insuffisance r\u00e9nale\u00a0chronique<\/span>\u00a0est le plus souvent la cons\u00e9quence d\u2019une autre maladie, en particulier du\u00a0<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"163\">diab\u00e8te<\/span>\u00a0et de l\u2019<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"252\">hypertension art\u00e9rielle<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">L&rsquo;INSUFFISANCE R\u00c9NALE CHRONIQUE EST-ELLE FR\u00c9QUENTE\u00a0?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, entre 1,7 et 2,5\u00a0millions de Fran\u00e7ais sont concern\u00e9s par une\u00a0<span class=\"glossary-def\" data-tooltipid=\"289\">insuffisance r\u00e9nale<\/span>\u00a0l\u00e9g\u00e8re, mod\u00e9r\u00e9e ou s\u00e9v\u00e8re.
